According to Curt, when installing the Curt Hitch, # C11510 on a 2016 Infiniti QX50, you have to invert the rubber isolators for the exhaust system when reconnecting the exhaust mount to the hitch.
If you failed to invert these rubber isolators, then it is possible that you vehicle's exhaust pipes might very well hang lower than they originally were mounted. Maybe as much as an 1-1/2 inch lower.

We have a supplemental braking system that is ideal for you situation. The Air Force One, part # SM99243, will do just that. The Air Force One only engages your toad's brakes when the air brakes of your motorhome are applied. And since they aren't being applied when you're using your exhaust brake the toad won't brake just from using the exhaust brake.

It sounds like your exhaust was damaged by the installer when they installed the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7322 on your 2016 Honda HR-V. There are a few welds in your exhaust which could have cracked if they did not properly support the exhaust. There is also an exhaust flange just in front of the rear suspension. If there is no noise from the contact between the exhaust hanger and the hitch then you don't have to do anything. If there is noise or you just want some more space then there are some things you can do to create more space.

I checked with my tech contact over at Roadmaster and he mentioned that there could be a couple of things going on here that I'll try to address for you. First, you can access the internal components in the Even Brake # RM-9400 system by removing the 4 screws on the bottom on the unit, as well as 2 allen screws on the side. Once you've got the case off the system, you'll be able to access the internal components where there will be 4 vacuum lines and 8 connectors on the system.
